This is a poster for the DECO-UV - a project by Salum Technologies LLC. They were presenting their project for seed funding at Bench 2 Bedside.
As they were finalists, they needed a demonstration video to present to the panel of medical industry leaders.
Role: 3D Designer & Animator
Tasks: Source & modify a 3D person with an editable nose, scale, light, animate & export the person with the DECO-UV, create & digitize the 2D art, put together the completed presentation, adjust the animation to the proper timing
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe AfterEffects
Timeline: one evening
While I didn't make the whole person in this instance, I did modify his nose so that the DECO-UV could be properly demonstrated. I also used a pre-made model of the DECO-UV.
I timed the animation to the live verbal presentation - so it looks slow but isn't.
Animation covers: Show the areas that MRSA occurs (highlighted areas) and then zoom into the nose. The tip of the DECO-UV is inserted into the nose. The UV light kills the MRSA virus over time.
I'm particularly proud of this animation because the time from initial animation request by Salum to completed animation was a single evening.
